Ancient and noble Pietrasanta family; the first known individual of this family was a Morrone of Deodato; then in 1377 a Giusfredo, from which another aromatic Giusfredo was born, prior of the elderly in 1404 and 1429, mayor and procurator of the Municipality in 1405. Nicola, of his son, had the same office in 1431, 1441 and 1461, was of the most daring partisans of the government of Genoa and one of the leaders of the rebellion against the Lucchesi in 1437, and in 1449 he was made chancellor of the Municipality; Giusfredo doctor of laws, son of the previous one, was elderly at home in 1479, and judge of the merchandise court in Florence in 1475.
