Alte feudale Familie, die am 24. August 1693 von König Karl II. Von Spanien in der Person von Nicola den Titel eines Marquis von Castelvetere erhielt; Titel anerkannt am 28. Oktober 1834 und 12. Januar 1860 von der Regierung des Königreichs der beiden Sizilien. Mit R., der am 10. April 1858 umgeschrieben wurde, wurde diese Familie für "so edel erklärt, dass sie für die Gründung einer größeren Familie für geeignet erklärt werden kann". Darüber hinaus zeichnete sich diese Familie in jeder Epoche immer durch die hohen Charaktere aus, die sie hervorbrachte. Unter diesen erinnern wir uns: cav. Antonio, der an der Verteidigung des Königreichs der beiden Sizilien beteiligt war und von Ludovico di Baviera bedroht wurde; Saverio, Rechtsberater und Botschafter von Carife beim Heiligen Stuhl, 1583; Rodrigo, Notar und Dichter zum Vergnügen, lebte 1606 in Avellino; Giuseppe, Doktor der Heiligen Theologie, lebte 1621 in Carife; Ferdinando, Arzt in "utroque jure",
