Un Biagio Mudò e Calì con privilegio del 9 luglio 1733 ottenne il titolo di barone di Malroveto o occupò la carica di proconservatore in Acireale nel 1734; un Vincenzo, fu acatapano nobile in detta città nell'anno 1761-62 e forse fu egli stesso quel barone Vincenzo, che tenne la carica di capitano di giustizia in detta città nel 1786-87 e quella di giurato nel 1799-1800. Non sappiamo se sia appartenuto a questa stessa famiglia quel dottor Alessandro qualificato, non sappiamo con qual diritto, barone, che fu giudice criminale in Rametta nel 1797-98, giurato nel 1798-99 e capitano nel 1800-1801. Nell'elenco ufficiale definitivo siciliano, è iscritto, con il titolo di barone di Malroveto, il signor Cosmo Modò, di Vincenzo, di Biagio.
