En la antigüedad, esta familia se llamaba Curte dicti Mugarii y se le añadió el apellido Brà a fines de 1700 por herencia. En 1410 se unió al noble Consejo de Verona. Ferdinando Carlo Gonzaga, duque de Mantua con diploma el 22 de septiembre de 1695 creó las cuentas Giovanni Francesco, Giovanni Battista y Giacomo con sus descendientes en orden de nacimiento, un título que el 3 de octubre de 1768 fue reconocido por la República de Venecia extendida a todos los hombres. Alessandro y Giovanni Battista di Francesco, fueron confirmados en los títulos de noble y cuentan con las SRA el 4 de septiembre de 1818 y el 5 de agosto de 1821.
