A maior ilustração que essa família pode se orgulhar é o nome do famoso Lodovico-Antonio M., um dos maiores historiógrafos modernos da Itália. Após sua morte, sua propriedade passou para os filhos de sua irmã Domenica, esposa de Domenico Soli, que era o médico Gianfrancesco, autor de escritos valiosos e a vida de seu ilustre tio materno, e que era um arquivista ducal secreto e o médico Antonio -Fortunato, que de Vignola havia transplantado seu tio e morava sua família em Modena. Esses dois irmãos Soli assumiram o sobrenome Muratori por concessão soberana de 3 de fevereiro de 1750. A família M. de Soli foi atribuída ao patrício modenense, cuja cidadania já gozava, em 9 de abril de 1817.
