Questo essendo virtuoso, fù oltre modo amato da Guglielmo Ramondo Moncada Conte d'Augusta; perloche andò ad habitar in Augusta, col cui favore poscia hebbe del Rè Federico terzo in ricompenza di suoi servigi, i tenitorij della Targia grande, e picciola siti ne' tenitorij d'Augusta; e Siragusa ch'erano del regio Demanio, che l'hebbe poscia confirmati suo figlio Franceschino M., per la cui morte senza lasciar prole, gli successe il fratello Domenico à chi sua figlia Thomasa moglie di Vanni Valterino, c'hambedue gli lasciarono alla loro figlia Mannella moglie di Michele Baldo. Questi morendo senza figli pervennero à Giovanni Valtarino figlio de' predetti Vanni, e Thomasa, al quale successe Leonora sua figlia moglie del Dottor Guglielmo Rosso
