Ancient and noble Italian family, originally from the Kingdom of Naples, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has spread in different Italian regions, over the centuries. This family was firstly noble in the city of Benevento and its clearly nobility is confirmed by its presence in the valuable work "Memorie delle famiglie nobili delle province meridionali d'Italia" by Earl Berardo Candida-Gonzaga (Forni, 1875). Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service.
