Gonçalo Anes, o Bom, rico-homem que esteve da Ordem de Calatrava, morreu em 1238 deixando filhos que continuaram o apelido de Nóboa ou N. Timbre: A águia do escudo. Uma das famílias portuguesa usa as seguintes armas: terciado em mantel: o primeiro de vermelho, com uma águia de ouro, estendida; o segundo de prata com um leão de vermelho, o terceiro de ouro, com um castelo de vermelho.
