Forse essi discendono dalla celebre famiglia dei vetrai muranesi, che annovera tra i suoi membri l'abate Antonio, insigne fabbricatore di organi e di cembali, Giovanni celebre vetraio; il rinomato poeta chirurgo Vincenzo, vissuto tra i secoli XVIII e XX, Michiel Angelo, ritrattista prediletto di Napoleone I. e il figlio suo Pietro, distinto acquarellista defunto nel 1846. Dei due maestri di specchi Girolamo e Giovanni B. è fatta menzione in una lettera di Verona, in data 2 marzo 1673, diretta agli Inquisitori di Stato.
