Antica ed illustre famiglia, detta Nardella o Nardelli, tra le più antiche ed importanti di Manciano, la quale risulta citata sia nei documenti medicei che in quelli lorenesi, riuscendo evidentemente a superare il completo ricambio del ceto dirigente che Manciano subisce nel passaggio tra le due diverse dominazioni. Un Filippo compare, infatti, nella relazione Corbinelli del 1615 tra le famiglie più importanti della comunità, dal momento che "semina 20 moggia, ha 14 buoi e 100 vacche". Nel 1776, nella relazione Ricci - Aldi, Leonardo risulta ancora tra i cinque maggiori possidenti della comunità e lo stesso, nel 1785, ospita a casa sua il vescovo di Sovana Francesco Pio Santi durante la visita a Manciano e Capalbio, da poco entrati a far parte della diocesi.
