Very ancient and very noble family that sees its cradle in Forlì, where it was already registered among the nobles in the thirteenth century, with branches in Urbino, San Leo, Sant'Angelo in Vado, San Marino, Perugia, Rome, Viterbo, Varese, Matelica , Ancona, Spoleto, Turin. He recognizes his progenitor Nardino, living at the end of the thirteenth century, lord of Poggio Berni in Romagna and of Rocchetta in that of Fabriano in the Marche. Roberto d'Angiò, king of Naples, who appreciated him while he was Vicar of Clement V in the Romagna region, wanted him to be his viceroy in Naples, where the Nardini family had room until he lived, that is from 1310 to 1317 approximately; then he returned to Forlì. Carlo was the first monk of the Cistercian Order and Abbot of S. Celso in Milan and later became Archbishop; there he died in 1461. Stefano, son of Nardino
