Già signori e conti di Trebbiano e d'altre terre in Lunigiana, ma originarj di Sardegna ed ivi aventi di poi il loro precipuo domicilio, benchè si diramassero fino a Genova. Antonio anziano in Genova, 1405. Nicolò qm. Francesco ebbe fama per molta letteratura, per la perizia nelle leggi, per l'innocenza della vita, e fu carissimo a S. Carlo Borromeo. Nel 1579 fu eletto Vescovo di Brugnato. Giuseppe, fratello di Nicolò, dottore in leggi e protonotaro apostolico, fu vicario generale dello stesso S. Carlo, e nel 1587 venne designato Vescovo di Ajaccio. Alderano, fratello di detti Nicolò e Giuseppe, fu valente giureconsulto, e uditore in molte Rote d'Italia. Agostino figlio di Alderano, cameriere d'onore di Urbano VIII, lesse eloquenza in Roma, e lasciò molte opere, fra le quali è tuttavia riputatissima quella dell'Arte Istorica. Morì in Sardegna a 49 anni, nel 1640. Giovanni, altro figlio di Alderano, fu Vescovo di Nebbio,
