Famiglia originaria degli Abruzzi, decorata nel 1648 del titolo marchionale; titolo che venne infisso sul feudo di Tufillo in Abruzzo Citra venuto in possesso della famiglia nel 1719. Fu ricevuta per giustizia nell'ordine Costantiniano nel 1770, ed in seguito dichiarata ammissibile, per la sua antica nobiltà nelle Regie Guardie del Corpo. Con Regia Prescrizione del I ottobre 1851, per morte senza prole di Francesco, venne riconosciuto nell'anzidetto titolo di marchese il cugino Carmelo, nato nel 1782. La famiglia è stata rappresentata dal nipote Giuseppe, nato a Napoli il 23 giugno dell'anno 1857, figlio di Carlo, di Carmelo e della nobile donna Marchesa Maria Volpicelli. Altro ramo. Famiglia così chiamata da Don Donino Nassano, figlio di Orlandino di Borgo San Donnino, nel Parmigiano. Era prete beneficiato della cattedrale di Verona nel 1405, poi Arciprete di S.
