Com um diploma datado de 12 de julho de 1681, Carlos II, rei da Espanha, concedeu o título de cavaleiro em favor do doutor Antonio, seus filhos e descendentes por linhagem masculina, levando em consideração seus méritos particulares e seu ilustre local de nascimento. Os membros desta família foram autorizados a intervir nos Tribunais Gerais celebrados na Sardenha, em 1698, sob a presidência do conde vice-rei de Montellano. Os descendentes masculinos desta família têm direito ao título de cavaleiro: a fêmea ao título de cavaleiros, seguida pela família. Com este título Outro ramo. De origem genovesa, foi transplantado para a Sardenha no final do século XV por um Francesco Nater para realizar lá o comércio de atum. Antonio, seu filho, um advogado de muito prestígio, foi prefeito de Cagliari e atribuído a essa nobreza; Inácio, filho do anterior, também foi um jurisconsulto distinto e muito a favor de Carlos III,
