Noblesse chevaleresque du Rouergue. Branches dans la Haute-Auvergne et à Brioude. Ráymond vivant en 1350, fui le père d'Almaric qui rendit hommage à Bernard d'Armagnac, comte de Rodez, le 21 mai 1391. Maintenue à Montauban le 4 décembre 1700, sur preuves remontant à 1531. David seigneur de Montrozier, de la Bastide, de Rocnissou (Auvergne), était écuyer de la grande écurie du roi dès 1623. Un capitaine au régiment de Piémont, blessé à Oudenarde (1708); un brigadier de la garde écossaise du roi (1787); des capitaines de cavalerie, chevaliers de St-Louís et de la Légion d'honneur; un garde du corps du roi Charles X; un officier d'état-major, commandant des mobiles de la Haute-Loire en 1870; une chanoinesse du chapitre de la Vaudieu (1789). Deux membres de cette famille sont portés sur la liste des émigrés de la Haute-Loire.
