Famiglia antica e nobile, abitante in Verona probabilmente fino dal secolo duodecimo. Un publico atto del 1250 ricorda il signor Negrello del già signor Bonello di Chiavica, il qual Negrello nell'anno 1316 testò facendo erede delle sue sostanze il proprio figlio Fantebuono, pure abitante nella contrada della Chiavica. Questi da Mastino ed Alberto Scaligeri ebbe in dono nel 1330 tutti i beni ch'essi possedeano in Settimo di Galese, e nell'anno 1335 venne creato Giudice e loro Assessore ed Ufficiale. Alda fu moglie di Bailardino ed già Nicolò Della Scala nel 1388, e sorella d'un Buttirone N., il quale avendo molti beni in Serego, fu detto Serego ed altesì i posteri di lui. Michele di questa casa ebbe nel 1404 le cariche di Sindaco e di Provveditore della città. Alessandro fu celebre medico di Collegio, e si fece gran nome nel contagio del 1575, in cui morì per le grandi fatiche
