Famiglia molto antica. Nel 1232 Paride da Cerea cronista ricorda la presa e la distruzione della casa di Alberto Negroboni in Cola, il quale certo doveva essere uomo potente. Antiche scritture facevano, nel 1310, menzione di Iacopo consigliere e giudice di Verona. Il Campione dell'estimo, nel 1409 registra i nomi di Negrobono e Buonsignore figli del fu Pietro di S. Pietro in Incarnario, e questo cognome si vede anche nei secoli successivi. Orazio giureconsulto venne nel 1614 aggregato al nobile Consiglio veronese, e per vari anni fu cancelliere e segretario della città. L'ultimo di questa casa che appartenne al Consiglio nel 1724 fu Ottavio Negroboni. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia di Brescia. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia della Lombardia fregiata del titolo comitale.
