Girolamo Nervi, causidico e sindaco della città di Cremona, ascritto nel 1629 a quel Collegio de' notari, nel 1655 era di nove abbati di detto Collegio. Tra questa famiglia la sua origine in Lombardia, non possonno le lingue dolose criticare contro l'antichissima origine, e progressi di questa chiarissima famiglia. Di origine longobarda, le prime sue memorie in Milano rimontano al tempo di Federico II, conforme riferisce il Morgia Paolo nella "Nobiltà di Milano divisa in sei libri" stampato in Milano nel 1595. Lo stesso autore riferisce essere questa una delle più nobili ed antiche famiglie di Milano.
