De la investigación realizada en el Archivo General de la Compañía de Indias en Sevilla, extraemos la siguiente información: Diego N., natural de las Casas de don Antonio (Cáceres), soltero, hijo de Fabián Sánchez y de Teress Sánchez, fue nombrado Oidor por decreto de la Real Compañía de Indias en septiembre de1577 y embarcó hacia Filipinas el 22 noviembre 1578; en otro legajo del mismo archivo figura que dimitió del cargo a los cuatro años de ocuparlo, compró una hacienda y acumuló gran fortuna, murió a los 69 años víctima de unas extrañas fiebres, legó sus propiedades a los domínicos y repartió el dinero a sus seis hijos reconocidos, por lo que suponemos que fué uno de los iniciadores de esta saga familia en América. Otra casa muy antigua. Afirman los genealogistas que la casa del apellido N. trae su orígen de una de las familias patricias de Roma.
