La famiglia Nicastro, di origine siciliana, ha ottenuto da S. M. il Re Vittorio Emanuele III con R. D. 22 maggio 1927 e RR. LL. PP. del 24 gennaio 1929, il titolo ereditato, per primogenitura maschile, di marchese per rinnovazione della famiglia Giudiccioni estinta con diritto di aggiunta di questo cognome. La famiglia Giudiccioni fu nobilissima remotissima. Figurò onorevolissimi incarichi negli albori dell'XI secolo con Umberto, che fu console della potente Repubblica di Lucca. Giovanni (25 febbraio 1500-2 agosto 1541) fu vescovo di Fossombrone, indi Nunzio al grande Imperatore Carlo V. Fu letterato di valore. Arma della famiglia: Di azzurro alla torre d'oro, aperta e finestrata di nero movente dalla punta dello scudo e sormontata da tre selle di sei raggi del secondo ordinate in fascia.
