E' un ramo della famiglia Niccolini sopra descritta il quale ha per autore Biagio figlio secondogenito di quel Lapo di Giovanni di Lapo che fu cinque volte gonfaloniere negli anni 1401-1425, e della cui discendenza abbiamo già parlato. Luigi di Rodolfo (n. 1831), che fu cavaliere di Malta e maestro di cerimonie di S.M. il Re d'Italia, avendo ereditato dalla Marchesa Maddalena Alamanni negli Uguccioni, aggiunse ai suoi il nome e lo stemma della famiglia Alamanni ed il titolo di marchese di Terentola. Glia Alamanni erano un famiglia assai reputata in Firenze fino dal sec. XII. Nel 1354 cominciarono ad essere assunti alle prime cariche del Comune e da allora in poi ebbero 20 priori e 2 gonfalonieri. Da Pierfrancesco cavaliere a Spron d'Oro, che fu uno dei più celebri di questa famiglia, nacque Luigi, il gentile poeta resosi illustre con molti poemi in cui rifulgono le grazie della musa
