Família nobre florentina, derivada de um ser Nicolajo que vive em 1300. Ser Nicolajo di ser Bartolomeo di ser Nicolajo era anterior e residia no senhorio de Florença em 1426. Que Nicolas pertencia a essa família e em 1500 ele passou para a França após Caterina de ' Medici, e mais tarde foi criado pelo marechal do rei da França, marquês e conde de vários feudos. Nicola foi confirmado pelo Grão-Duque da Toscana em sua antiga nobreza e contou na aristocracia florentina com o reescrito soberano em 1º de julho de 1836.
