Originalmente de San Giorgio la Montagna (agora S. Giorgio del Sannio), com claras tradições patrióticas. Giacomo Nisco, capitão dos soldados, foi perseguido político pelos eventos de 1820. Seu filho Nicola esteve envolvido no famoso processo da Unidade Italiana e condenado a 30 anos de ferros. Ele escreveu valiosas obras históricas e foi depois de 1860, representante de várias faculdades no Parlamento. Ele morreu em S. Giorgio la Montagna em 26 de agosto de 1891. Nicola Nisco juniore, tenente dos granadeiros, morreu em 1916 em defesa do Monte Cencio e foi decorado com uma medalha de ouro por valor militar. Com concessão RD 8 de março de 1925 e RR. LL. PP. Em 10 de janeiro de 1926, esta família foi decorada por SM, o rei do título de barão, na pessoa de James. A família está registrada no Nob Gold Book. Ital. E em El. Uff. Nob. Com o título
