La famiglia Noce è originaria della valle di Rapallo.Antonio e Domenico consiglieri della Repubblica nel 1368; Domenico anziano nel 1374; Antonio nel 1382; Girolamo fu ascritto nei Doria nel 1563. Dal XVII secolo vari membri di questa casata si propagarono in diverse regioni d'Italia, prevalentemente in Toscana ed Umbria e vi furono accolti nelle importanti cariche della città dove ebbero dimora. Altra ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia originaria di Sorrento, detta dalla Noce o del Noce. Giovanni della Noce seguì Alfonso I d'Aragona nel regno di Napoli, fu maestro di campo generale, assai chiaro per luminosi fasti militari compiuti nella espugnazione delle Calabrie, per cui ottenne dal suddetto Re il feudo di Rende presso Cosenza. Egli fu il primo a stabilire la sua famiglia in Sorrento. Angelo, stato per due volte abate di Montecassino, fu da Papa Clemente X creato Arciv. di Rossano.
