Ancient and very noble family of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, of French origin, arrived in Nocera, from which it took its name, then passed into Castellammare di Stabbia and spread, over the centuries, in various regions of Italy. Pietro Giovanni, a pupil and family member of King Alfonso I, obtained the Royal Palace of Quisisiana from him. His son Pietro, commander of the naval army, defended the port of Castellammare several times from the Corsairs. The family remained in Castellammare until 1598, when they moved to Naples. Here the Nocera family continued to stand out. Among the many, we remember: Fra Giovanni Angelo, a knight from Jerusalem who distinguished himself in the siege of Malta; Nicola Antonio, doctor of both law, flourishing in Naples, in 1601; Tommaso Maria, captain of arms, flourishing in Naples, in 1626; Gio. Batta, notary in Naples, flourishing in 1645; D. Giacomo, apostolic protonotary
