Sehr alte Familie, früher bekannt als die Langobarden, die in der Antike von Florenz nach Verona ging. Bonagiunta war 1216 Rechtsberater und Richter; Alexander war 1368 einer der Veroneser, die auf Befehl von Cansignorio den Bau eines Teils der Stadtmauer besaßen; Bartolomeo war einer der Anführer des Turniers, das 1382 in Verona durchgeführt wurde. Benedetto, ein berühmter Arzt, wurde im Jahr 1490 an das College of Physicists of Verona aufgenommen. In den Jahren 1437 und 1527 war diese Prosatia Teil des edlen Veronesischen Konzils. Ein weiteres Haus mit demselben Nachnamen aus Vicenza zog nach Verona, aus dem der Rechtsberater Francesco und die Notar-Brüder Girolamo, die beide 1655 veronesische Staatsbürger gründeten, hervorgingen.
