Antica famiglia, di chiara ed avita virtù, detta Noghera o Noghero, originaria di Berbenno, in Valtellina, la quale ha goduto nobiltà anche in Roma e Milano. Gian Pietro Noghero, con Diploma Imperiale 1594, fu creato conte Palatino, con tutti i privilegi annessi e segnatamente quelli di leggittimare bastardi e creare notari, privilegi esercitati dai discendenti. La famiglia fu investita del giuspatronato attivo e passivo del Beneficio dei Nobili di Berbenno; fu riconosciuta quale feudataria di Como. Diede membri al Consiglio di Reggenza della Valtellina sin dal 1620, Cancellieri di Valle, assessori del Tribunale, Vicario e Consoli di Giustizia. Con D. M. 6 marzo 1897 venne riconosciuta ed iscritta nel Libro d'oro della Nobiltà Italiana col titolo di Nobile (mf.), in persona di Giuseppe, di Nicola, di Giovanni Battista e del nipote Nicola, di Giovanni, di Nicola.
