Antica famiglia veneta originaria di Revine Lago. Nel 1790 Vittorio Amedeo di Savoia, Re di Sardegna, conferì ai Losego il titolo di "Conte di Revine Lago", confermato da Francesco II, Re delle Due Sicilie, nel 1860 e poi da Vittorio Emanuele III da Brindisi nel 1944. Fra i personaggi che illustrarono la Casata si distingue per valore d'intelligenza, ma soprattutto per bontà il Prof. Giovanni che ricoprì in Padova e Venezia altissimi incarichi. Fu infatti insegnante, direttore didattico, Ispettore, Provveditore agli studi, Presidente dell'Opera Maternità e Infanzia di Padova. Rimasto vedovo si risposò con la N.D. Elvira Mazzucato, Dama del S.M.O. di Malta. Giovanni fu attaccatissimo alla Casa Savoia tanto da meritare, in tempi difficili, la visita, a Ponte di Brenta (Padova) nella vita di questo paese per altissimo spirito patriotico che entusiasmò la popolazione.
