Antica ed assai nobile famiglia di Thiesi, in provincia di Sassari, le cui prime notizie storiche certe risalgono al secolo decimo settimo. Il casato, nel 1681, ottenne il cavalierato ereditario con un Pietro, che fu ammesso allo stamento militare nel 1688, durante il Parlamento Monteleone. I suoi figli formarono due rami della famiglia: dal dottor Gavino Diego discese il ramo di Thiesi ed egli ottenne la nobiltà nel 1700 ma la sua discendenza si estinse nel corso del secolo XVIII. Dall'altro dei figli di Pietro Paolo nacque un Francesco, che ottenne la nobiltà dal vicerè Chacon ma non riuscì ad ottenere l'exequatur; nel 1735 comunque ebbe la conferma dai Savoia. Altro ramo. Antica famiglia di Oristano, le cui origini risalgono al secolo XVIII. Un Francesco Maria, ricco mercante, nel 1748 acquistò come feudo improprio la tappa di insinuazione di Oristano; nel 1749 ebbe il cavalierato e la nobiltà. Suo
