Von Cremona kam er 1424 nach Genua. Antonio Oldoini als Leutnant des Gouverneurs der Stadt, Graf Francesco Carmagnola. Ein Giovanni Battista zog nach Pontremotoli, Brugnato und schließlich nach La Spezia; Hier gründete die Familie Oldoini, auch als Familie Dozzoli bekannt (siehe Della Cella), ihre Heimat und unterhielt jedoch enge Beziehungen zu Genua, wo viele ihrer Mitglieder lebten und wo sie 1528 im De Fornari-Baum dem Adel zugeschrieben wurde. Agostino Oldoini, Jesuit, war ein Mann von außergewöhnlichem Erbe und Können, der 1637 in Rom die von Tiraboschi erwähnten "Additiones ad Ciacconum de vitis Ponteficum" druckte. Also Bernardo, sein Bruder, der den zweiten Teil der Geschichten der Welt als Fortsetzung der Arbeit seines Vaters Torsellino schrieb. 1740 war ein Vater Oldoini General der Theatiner. Bernardo von Gio. Francesco, Nachkommen von Agostino, der 1528 dem genuesischen Adel zugeschrieben wurde, war 1776-77 Gouverneur von Chiavari. Es gab drei Hauptlinien, in denen sich die Nachkommen
