Trae questa famiglia la sua origine da Milano, da dove venne in Vercelli. E' ricordo di un Antonio il quale fu governatore di Como e podestà di Genova. Suo figlio Giacobino venne in Vercelli, dove esercitò la mercatura. Ebbe per fratelli Giovanni Pietro, che fu collaterale nello Stato di Milano e Opicino, che fu governatore di Genova. Da Giacobino nacquero Mario e Gerolamo. Quest'ultimo fu accusato dell'assassinio del duca Galeazzo Maria Visconti in S. Stefano di Milano (1476). Mario fu mercante in Vercelli. Suo nipote Camillo, di Giacomo, fu referendario di Vercelli (1567), e il figlio di costui, Mario, fu senatore di Piemonte (1614). Consegnò Mario l'arma il 21 febbraio 1614. Sposò Paola di Bongiovanni Costa di Polonghera ed ebbe numerosa prole, ottenne il 4 ottobre 1629 l'immunità di 12 figli. Il primogenito Agostino (n.
