Segundo Mugnos e Inveges, uma família de origem espanhola, que veio à Sicília com o rei Martino, o ancião, para um Ferrenchio Olivera, pai de Pietro, que foi sucedido por um Francesco, que obteve várias cargas importantes da rainha Isabella, bem como a Lentini 1491. Várias famílias homônimas se espalharam para diferentes regiões da Itália. As informações bibliográficas que nos são transmitidas podem ser rastreadas até essa linhagem da qual anotamos. Originalmente da Espanha, ele desfrutou da nobreza de Messina nos séculos XV e XVI. Outra família levantou suas armas. Golden, com uma oliveira verde desenraizada, unida ao tronco por duas cabeças de leopardo da mesma.
