La casa solar de este linaje radicó en el lugar de Bolívar, del Ayuntamiento de Escoriaza y partido judicial de Marquina, en Vizcaya. Una rama creó nueva casa en la villa de Marquina y de ella fué Pedro López de O., natural de Marquina, que casó con doña María de Barroeta, natural de la anteiglesia de Amorebieta, del partido judicial de Durango, y fueron padres de Martín de O. y Barroeta, natural de Marquina, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Jordana de Munive, de la misma naturaleza (hija de Martín de Munive, nautral de Marquina, Conde de Peñaflorida y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, y de doña Cecilia de Axpee, natural de la anteiglesia de Ceánuri en el mismo partido de Durango). De dicho enlace nació Cristóbal Ignacio de O. Barroeta y Munive, natural de Marquina y Caballero de la Orden de Calatrava, en la que ingresó el 23 de Abril de 1693.
