la famiglia che godeva la signoria di Ottobiano in Lomellina e che del luogo asunse il nome, abitava nel XII sec: in Tortona che abbandonò per ritirarsi in Potecurone dopo l'assedio del Barbarossa cui seguì la resa del 17 aprile 1155 che imponeva l'esodo di tutti gli abitanti dalla città; Abramo nel 1203 è eletto console ed in detto anno venne imposto ai proprietari terrieri di predisporre precise sgnalazione ai confini dei rispettivi fondi; il 6 giugno 1232 il prevosto della Chiesa di Tortona accensa a Giacomo ed ai fratelli Rufino ed Enrico un manso in Ottobiano; podestà e consiglieri del comune di Tortona, tra i quali Guglielmo O. il 25 agosto 1281 deliberano in merito alla vendita di diritti d'acque del torrente Curone alla comuntià di Viguzzolo. Di essi non si hanno più notizie certe dal XIV secolo. Altro ramo. Grande famiglia, oriunda di Birago in quel di Monza,
