Antica famiglia originaria di Pavia fregiata del titolo di Signori di Torrazza che alzò per arma: Di rosso, alla pianta di frumento con tre spighe divergenti d'oro; col capo del secondo, caricato dell'aquila di nero. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane. Alcuni della famiglia furono fregiati del titolo di Signori di Torrazza. Al dir dei numerosi ricercatori e biografi dell'epoca, tra cui: Bagatti-Valsecchi F. - Calvi F. - Casati L.N. - Muoni D. - Pullè L., che nella loro opera "Famiglie Notabili Milanesi. Cenni storico-genealogici, stampato in Milano da A. Vallardi nel 1875. al volume 4", la quale fiorì in quella repubblica. Se lo speculare valesse nell'Istoria, si ridurrebbe questa in opinioni, che possano essere false, e conseguentemente si verrebbe a si distruggere il principal oggetto dell'istessa che è la mera,
