Very ancient and noble family from the Marches, with residence in Caldarola, of clear and ancestral virtue, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. However, its very first origin must be sought in Rome, where it was decorated with the count's title. In fact, the genealogist Giuseppe Galluppi narrates that from Rome this family moved to Messina (Sicily), where it enjoyed nobility from the 12th to the 18th century. Tradition has it that the progenitor of the still flourishing line is that Guglielmo Pallotta known as "Guglielmo da Messina", who, as a teenager, witnessed the investiture of the kingdom of the two Sicilies given by Urban IV in 1262 to Charles of Anjou, after he won the unfortunate Manfredi "in cò del Ponte" near Benevento.
