Venne la famiglia P. in Sicilia della Lombardia nel Reggimento del Rè Federico secondo. Il primo c'hà ritrovato di lei fù Giuliano P., il quale impiegandosi a' serviggi militari del Rè in lor ricompenza, n'acquistò un gran tenimento di Terri, c'havendolo poscia egli infeudato, si chiamò il feudo di Pancaldo, il quale hoggi è del Duca di Villareale di casa Talamanca, Grua, Tocco, e Manriques per ragion di dote di sua moglie donn'Anna Crisafi. Al predetto Giuliano P. dunque successe suo figlio Pietro P., che reuscì virtuoso gentil'huomo à costui suo figlio Giuliano nel 1425. al quale il figlio Henrico che visse con molte ricchezze, e si casò con Francesca Zafarana figlia di Gio: Domenico Zafarana, che gli generò Giulio, e Girolamo. Giulio seguì nel paterno feudo nel 1478. e poscia con il fratello Girolamo nel feudo della Foresta grande lasciatogli dal detto Giovan Domenico Zafarana nel 1499. finalmente à
