Patrizierfamilie, die aus dem 1060 lebenden Musco-Sohn von Giovanni stammte und den Sitzen von Scala und Trani zugeschrieben wurde. Er gründete die Kirche S. Andrea, bekannt als Pondo in der Scala, in seinem eigenen Palast, dem er hohe Mieten zuwies. Angelo de Pondo di Scala war ein gelehrter Rechtsberater in beiden Gesetzen, Soldat, Stadtrat, Anwalt der Armen und Familie von König Karl II. Guglielmo war 1292 Ratsmitglied des Henkers der Abruzzen. In Scala starb diese Familie gegen Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts in der Familie Coppola aus. Ein Zweig davon war im 13. Jahrhundert nach Trani und Brindisi und von dort nach Nardò verpflanzt worden, wo es im 15. Jahrhundert ausgestorben war.
