Un ramo di questa famiglia dal Friuli dove era annoverata tra le principali, passò, poco prima della seconda metà del secolo XVI, alla Mirandola. Ivi venne aggreagata, non si sa quando, alla Nobiltà dei Figli di Manfredi, e figurò ben presto al primo rango per nobiltà e ricchezze. Il 22 luglio 1536 Lodovico fu Iacopo de Panigatis de Mirandula venne creato cittadino Modenese coi discendenti d'ambo i sessi; privilegio che fu confermato ai suoi discendenti Lodovico ed Ercole. Il duca Francesco III d'Este con suo diploma 15 marzo 1738 largiva il titolo comitale ai figli di Flaminio, Giuseppe, Vincenzo e Luigi e ai loro discendenti maschi: in perpetuo. Nella seconda metà del secolo passato esisteva tuttavia un tronco di questo ramo, quello cioè dei discendenti di Vincenzo stabilitasi a Como. Del ramo invece non titolati, ma di semplice nobiltà, esistono ancora discendenti in Mirandola ed altrove. Il 15 luglio 1738

Inquartato; al 1° e al 4° di rosso, a due semivoli d'argento posti in sbarra, sormontati da tre teste umane al naturale, di profilo a destra, recise, pure disposte in sbarra, al 2° e al 3° d'azzurro, alla fascia d'argento caricata da una fede di carnagione, vestita di verde. Sul tutto, uno scudetto d'oro, a una spiga di panico al naturale, in palo, fogliata di verde. Cimiero: Un'aquila d'argento.
