Die Familie zog nach Reggio, nicht aus Genua, wie Tiraboschi sagt, sondern aus Città di Castello zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts. Agostino, Justizrat in Modena, mit Herzog Rinaldo I d'Este, war Schriftsteller und Schriftsteller und überließ der Presse mehrere Werke, darunter "Das Athenaeum des Edlen Mannes", das zu dieser Zeit viel gelobt wurde. Sein Neffe Gian Maria aus Città di Castello war Kapitän der Zitadelle von Vignola, wo sein Sohn Agostino geboren wurde, der ein angesehener Dichter und Schriftsteller war. Als Mann von akutem Einfallsreichtum und Gelehrsamkeit kultivierte er historische Studien und schrieb auch dramatische Werke. Er war an vielen literarischen und wissenschaftlichen Akademien eingeschrieben, nicht nur in seiner Stadt, sondern auch außerhalb. Er wurde zum Präsidenten der Theaterakademie der Prinzessin von Hessen Daramstadt ernannt, damals Sekretär der R.
