Ancient Tuscan family, called Parra or Parri, of clear and ancestral virtue, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. The origin of this cognomination, according to authoritative genealogists, should be sought in a modification of the personal apheresis "Gaspare", probably belonging to an, today unknown, progenitor. In any case, this family was admitted to the nobility of Pisa, in the person of Stefano di Anton Lorenzo P. and brothers, in 1818. However, according to other authors, the family enjoyed noble privileges, since the tenth century. On the other hand, this family, in the unfolding of its luster, has always managed to produce a series of men who made his name famous, in public employment and in military service. Among these, without risking anything to the value of the omitted, there are: Tommaso, doctor in "utroque jure", living in Pisa, in 1534; Lorenzo, notary, operating in Pisa
