Los de este linaje de P. son muy buenos y antiguos hijos-dalgo, naturales del reino de Aragón, de la ciudad de Calatayud, en donde hay de este linage, y de ellos están repartidos en diferentes villas y lugares de estos reinos y provincias. Y algunos de ellos vinieron a servir al rey Don Alonso XI de Castilla en la guerra que tenia contra moros, y se hallaron en la gran batalla del Salado, que se dió cerca de Tarifa al rey Alboacen de Marruecos, lunes 18 de octubre de 1340, que fué una de las grandes batallas que se han dado en España, en donde se señalaron los de este linaje como buenos hijos-dalgo y soldados valerosos, haciendo grandes hechos de armas y dando muestras de su valor. Hicieron asiento en Toledo, de donde se fueron a vivir a la Mancha; hay de ellos en la villa de Tembleque y en La Guardia.
