Cette famille, qui compte des conseillers à la Cour des Aides de Montpellier, en 1573 et 1589, a été maintenue dans sa noblesse, par jugement souverain du 10 octobre 1668, et, lors de l'Assemblée Générale des trois États de la province de Périgord, tenue à Périgueux, le 16 mars 1789, à l'effet de nommer des députés aux États-Généraux, on voit figurer, parmi les votants dans l'Ordre de la Noblesse: "Messire Jean-Pierre, écuyer, chevalier, seigneur haut, moyen et bas justicier de Gœlina et autres fiefs, dans la sénéchaussée de Sarlat, habitant son château de Creisse, paroisse de ce nom, sénéchaussée de Martel; et aux Assemblées du Quercy, il y vota personnellement. Le R. P. Vincent, dont chacun a apprécié le talent oratoire, pendant la station quadragésimale, à Périgueux, de 1872 et 1876, appartient à cette famille.
