Esta casa tiene su origen en un joven y noble guerrero aragonés que llegó a la corte de Guaimano IV Príncipe de Salerno alrededor del año 1032 siguiendo al general Vera o Verdad. Se llamaba Pérez o Peres, venía del condado de Aragón y, como todos los niños cadetes de las familias nobles, se dedicaba al arte de las armas. Para no estar de acuerdo con el Príncipe Lombard alrededor del año 1037, Pérez deja a Salerno para mudarse a Friuli. En Friuli se casó con una joven del noble Casato Petris, de esta unión nacieron algunos hijos de los que se conocen los nombres de Domingo, Zani y Raffael. Los P. de Angelis descienden de Zani o Giovanni, o más bien de un hijo de Giovanni, nacido alrededor de 1080 que tenía el nombre de Pasqual y se distinguió como Pasquali de Zani. Domingo o Domenico nació de Pasqual
