Esta casa deriva de um jovem e nobre guerreiro aragonês que chegou ao Tribunal de Guaimano IV, príncipe de Salerno, por volta do ano 1032, após o general Vera ou Verdade. Seu nome era Perez ou Peres, ele veio do condado de Aragão e, como todos os filhos cadetes das famílias nobres, ele se dedicou à arte das armas. Para discordar do príncipe lombardo, por volta do ano 1037, Perez deixa Salerno para se mudar para Friuli. Em Friuli, casou-se com uma jovem do nobre Casato Petris; dessa união nasceram algumas crianças cujos nomes são conhecidos: Domingo, Zani e Raffael. Os Pasqual de Angelis descendem de Zani, ou seja, Giovanni, ou melhor, de um filho de Giovanni, nascido por volta de 1080, que tinha o nome de Pasqual e se distinguia como Pasquali de Zani.
