Family before 1300. Other branch. Gaddo di Passavante belonged to this noble family in 1294 and 97, and Passa di Zato in 1302, 5, 10 and 12. The latter was also gonfalonier in 1307; charge which was then sustained by Zato di Gaddo in 1313, 28, 36 and 62. Zato himself was also of the lords in 1339, 42, 47, and 51. But the greatest glory of this family was without less the famous Fra Jacopo of the Order of Preachers, authors of the Mirror of true penitentia, who died in 1357. There has been no news of this family since the fifteenth century. Other branch. Guidotto consul major in 1184. Family of the consortium of the Falabrini lords of Torre. Giovanni del fu Bartolomeo, citizens of Lucca, in 1381 was valvassor of Segromigno, baron of Castelluccio.
