Vennero da Bergamo a Padova, e poi a Venezia. I due fratelli di questa famiglia popolana si chiamarono Antonio e Gabriele fu Francesco. Il primo attendeva al commercio dei calsoni pei galeotti, e delle stoffe pei soldati, ed era nel suo mestiere intelligentissimo; l'altro che aveva parecchi figli, era stato dmestico presso un Rettore in Candia ove arricchì. Nel 22 giugno 1669 i due fratelli, avendo esborsato la solita offerta dei 100 mille ducati, vennero ascritti alla veneta nobiltà il 28 giugno 1669, avendo ottenuto la loro supplica nel Senato voti favorevoli 133, contrari 26, non sinceri 8, e nel Maggior Consiglio voti favorevoli 480, contrari 170, non sincieri 6. Tutta Venezia stupì per tale onorificenza accordata a persone di sì bassa levatura, ma la Repubblica, stante le gravissime ristrettezze nelle quali si trovava, non si occupò delle querimonie, e tenne ferma la presa deliberazione.
