Alte Familie, ursprünglich aus Cigliano, die weit verzweigt war. Es wurde in die Linien von Ivrea, Saluggia und Val di Cosso und die Grafen von Villaregia, Castelrosso und St. Marcel aufgeteilt. Die sogenannte Pastoris-Linie von Casalrosso erhielt das Lehen dieses Landes in der Person von Angelo Cristoforo, di Giambattista, am 13. Februar 1722, der am folgenden 21. April mit einem herrschaftlichen Titel ausgestattet wurde. Sein Neffe Carlo Luigi, von Carlo Francesco, der am 8. Januar 1738 in Cigliano geboren wurde, erhielt am 10. Juli 1733 die Erektion in der Grafschaft Castelrosso. Er heiratete Clara Rambaudi, und Luigi und Paolo waren seine Söhne. Luigis Linie starb mit seiner Nichte Onorina aus, die den Marquis Vittorio Roero von Cortanze geheiratet hatte.
