Ancienne famille patricienne, appelée Pedron ou Pedroni, originaire de Gardumo, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. L'origine de ce patronyme, selon d'illustres généalogistes, doit être recherchée, à travers des formes dialectales, dans l'augmentatif du nom Pietro (Pedro), qui appartenait probablement à un géniteur aujourd'hui inconnu. D'ailleurs, cette famille a toujours su se distinguer, grâce aux hautes personnalités, auxquelles elle a donné naissance. Parmi ceux-ci, nous rappelons : Francesco, notaire impérial à Rovereto, vivant en 1591 ; un autre Francesco, vicaire de la juridiction de Castel Gresca, en 1624 ; Guglielmo, commissaire à la cour d'Arc de 1673 à 1676, conseiller de SM Cessarea, puis surintendant des quatre Vicariats ; a Francesco-Adamo, illustre jurisconsulte et surintendant cs La famille prend les armes.
