Pietro Leopoldo, di Giovanni Fabroni, procuratore imperiale e presidente del consiglio di Stato, aggiunse al proprio il cognome e lo stemma della madre Teresa, figlia adottiva di Giuseppe, di Andrea, direttore della Reale Galleria, della quale compilò il primo Catalogo generale, e reputato scrittore di letteratura, d'arte e di storia. Con la morte di Giuseppe, di Andrea, avvenuta nel 1808, la famiglia meglio conosciuta, da tre generazioni, come Bencivenni venne a mancare. Si era resa nota, principalmente, per Giovanni, di Piero, che cooperò efficacemente, nel 1478, al salvataggio del Magnifico, fu dei priori nel 1487, e commerciò con successo in Levante, recandosi a Costantinopoli e a Pera; ed era stata ascritta al patriziato fiorentino con decreto della Deputazione sulla nobiltà del 23 agosto 1751. con motu proprio 12 aprile 1900 e RR. LL. PP. 7 giugno successivo fu rinnovato a favore di Giovanni, di Giuseppe Fabroni, il titolo
